Yes, I agree Peanut
There is another roundabout that I encounter where there are arrows on the roads and signs - left lane is left turn only and right lane is 2 o'clock and right.
On the odd occasion, someone might go left from the right lane but they can stay in the right lane after the exit, so that's not too bad. It is a bit tricky if you're in the left lane to go left at the roundabout and then want to move into the right lane, but there is plenty of time to move over after leaving the roundabout.
Mostly it works absolutely fine, and is much easier to know where people are going than on the other roundabout as there is no merging needed.

If only there was some kind of Code for people using the Highways, maybe when you get your driving licence people would have to sign to endorse they've read , understood and would abide by this Codey thing,.....one lives in hope!

A new sign has been put up on the approach to my roundabout.
Even though the exit is at two o'clock in real life, on the sign it is situated at 12 o'clock, so the scenario in the link to the Highway Code applies - it is the "straight ahead" exit, so cars can use either lane on the roundabout and merge at the exit.
That is pretty much what happened in general, but the sign has clarified the situation. Care is still needed to do the merging, but at least everyone knows it needs to happen, rather than drivers in the right hand lane thinking it's a right hand exit and being puzzled by seeing cars in the left lane.
