No. I saw several nests erupting on the same day (unless of course ants' nests can be over half a mile wide, in which case I retract my previous comment because all the fliers were from the same nest). And, crucially, I didn't see any eruptions on any other days.

It's not the same day over the whole country - I think we established that here (at no cost to the taxpayer and without requiring any sort of research grant smiley - winkeye).

I've not seen the flying ants, but I did spot a hummingbird hawk-moth in the garden at the weekend. The first time I've seen one.
