That sounds familiar! She'd ring my dad up all the time for this for that, can you get my shopping, and dad, being self-employed in the local area was always around but couldn't always stay for long.

Now my parents, well, they live about 10 mins walk away and I see them, er once in a blue moon. I did try to visit them today as I'm having a couple of days off, but they've gone out, which my mum only does, you've guessed it once in blue moon!

I've enjoyed remembering my nan actually.

Small update, nagged my dad today, there were another 2 bequests I'd forgotten about, but I mentioned the letter and disposing of them if not collected which he seemed to think about. He had told everyone to collect when ready, and apparently my cousin had made a box for my Nan that she asked to have back and that's still sitting on the sideboard, so she obviously was feeling up to talking about it at some point.

So, maybe in another year my dad will be ready to get on with it! Thanks all for your help.
