Force FX Lightsabers

Mr. X ---> "Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!"

Force FX Lightsabers are really expensive toys that replicate the look and sound of (surprise!) lightsabers. The standard colors for them are red, blue, green, and a few are purple. But the problem is that I want a yellow one. They're extremely hard to find because they have to be custom built and my particular difficulty is that I don't know where to go to get them, so!

Does anyone know where I can find a yellow lightsaber, someone who will make me a yellow lightsaber, or where I can get the parts and schematics to make the lightsaber myself?

Please don't expect me to turn out that mountain of unused lightsabres in my loft!

Seriously: it's an obvious question, but do you have the manufacturer's phone number?

I have; as I said, they don't make them. They exist, but they're custom, and I don't know where to go to get them custom made.

It's an LED strip. I can't exactly just go get one at the hardware store. And even if I could, apparently they're quite fragile by themselves and I'm told that trying to replace the strip is likely to damage the lightsaber.

In my work we use rolls of LED light strips, you roll out how much you want and then cut it off. The back is adhesive and there is a power supply clamp you attach to one end. I have seen them light up quite brightly with a 9 volt battery.

I think your main problem would be having them light up in sequence, like the film LS. That could be solved by sequentially lighting separate strips by a bit of electronics.

But I would suggest you just buy a white light sabre, open it up and insert a tube of lighting gel that is a satisfactory shade of yellow.
