Well said, Kea. Although, to be fair to Ed, he does tend to reserve the vitriol for the brighter participants.
He's always been very kind to me................

Be fair!
From my point of view, I think that all swl ever does is to come in with niggling little nyah nyah irrelevances. 'Here's a tiny little thing I've found on the fringes from a dubious source...therefore the whole thing's rubbish.' Silly little things along the lines of 'They don't even sleep in their tents, some of them.'
I can't address his trivia. There's no point. What I *can* address is his point-scoring mentality which adds nothing of intellectual value to the discussion.
By all means, kea, let's be all fluffy and exclusive. But that shouldn't exclude calling someone on asininity. Whether they choose to remain after their cover is blown is up to them.

Here's a story about how the cops are actively preventing the media from covering OWS:
http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/culture/2011/12/4378810/reporters-covering-occupy-wall-street-protest-outside-obama-fund-rai
And here is another about how the developer of military grade pepper spray is shocked about how it being used against nonviolent protesters:
Pepper-Spray Creator Decries Use of Chemical Agent on Peaceful Occupy Wall Street Protesters
http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/culture/2011/12/4378810/reporters-covering-occupy-wall-street-protest-outside-obama-fund-rai
And I'd repost the link to the article I already posted a few hundred posts ago about how any journalist still reporting that they can't figure out what OWS is about is a liar and a fraud, but I hate repeating myself.

Meanwhile in Lansing MI we had eight inches of snow, and five individuals stayed in their tents during the storm.

nuff Ed. I do understand your frustration with SWL's approaches.

Of course. I'm not saying don't call him, I'm asking do you have to spit while you do it?

Headline: Yasha Levine Released From Jail, Exposes LAPD’s Appalling Treatment of Detained Occupy LA Protesters…
"The 100 protesters in my detainee group were kept handcuffed with their hands behind their backs for 7 hours, denied food and water and forced to sit/sleep on a concrete floor. Some were so tired they passed out face down on the cold and dirty concrete, hands tied behind their back. As a result of the tight cuffs, I wound up losing sensation in my left palm/thumb and still haven’t recovered it now, a day and a half after they finally took them off."

Here's a well worded post from Roger Ebert on his position regarding the Occupy movement. I must say, I agree with much of it.

I would just add that the election process itself is now broken and will remain that way as long as the richest campaigns have such obvious advantages.
