You can call me TC

Alec Trician hit the nail on the head. It's just like when the Pirate Radios closed down.

Or when Radio 1 started up. I tuned in my radio the night before to the wavelength (it was one of the Radio 2/Light programme wavelengths) and got up at 6 am to listen. I missed it, because for some reason the frequency was slightly different from what the Light Programme had been broadcasting on. I was twiddling the knob for about half an hour before I finally got to hear Tony Blackburn. Tony Blackburn had started my day from Radio London right up to then - most of the Radio London DJ's went to Radio 1 and are still with the BBC today. Except Kenny Everett and John Peel, of course, who have since died. Actually the list is quite embarrassing, but they were our heroes and they were groundbreakers in their time: Johnnie Walker, Noel Edmonds, Dave Lee Travis.

I sound like an old codger in a pub, hugging a warm smiley - ale. I'd better stop. Just passing the time till the move happens. Funny it also involved the BBC.

See you all on the other side folks.
