Kea, in terms off having enough on our plates, I agree with you there, I know this isn't a well put aguement, but I feel after the riots we have our own problems to deal with and should focus on and I just can't be arsed with any imports. That brings me down on the side of not wanting to let them as well as obviously finding them utterly repugnant and throughly offensive

I am too pragmatic to base a decision like this soley on principle, but nevertheless the principle of free speech which is one I value highly (and I'm not saying that you don't)but I do think we have to stick with it even when it makes us totally groak.

No they are not getting out of hand. There's been lots of appropriate discussion about sheer weight of numbers..and people's natural anxieties to do with the inevitable cultural changes. Given the reality we are doing bloody well. And I would expect that from our society.)

We should adopt the Australian robust and practical attitude, and a lot less wafty liberal handwringing
