Ah yes, there are many earlier 'rock' recordings.
I know many of them well. But to sharpen my point, 
let me say again that this was the first to hit
the top of the Pop Charts, the first Rock song
to become Number One on the Hit Parade.
It was the week of April 12, 1955.
