Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream Posted Jan 7, 2011
Never mind for now GB, we've got all year to sort it, and anything can happen in a year
I don't 'get' why it's still getting modded, even with the change of name. I did what the Eds asked last year, plus a bit more. As least now I know it's not personal against me, but I think it is the same person yikesing it each year, and I suggested as much to the Eds when it was modded last year.
Oh, well, hopefully, we'll be up and running on Monday.

Could we please have a fourth volunteer, capable of adding to three-digit sums, to award the prizes this year?
If not, I'll have to let Francis do it.

I've added all the lists now. I'm still tweaking, adding high-pick celebrities and awaiting replacements but otherwise I am done. Of course when I updated, it disappeared, but I think that's the bug and it usually reappears within a few mins. Could players check their lists and let me know if any errors are spotted?

Mol - on the new tablet Posted Jan 10, 2011
GB, further to our emails earlier today ... I'd like to request an Official Ruling from Mu Beta on this one please.
Not that I don't follow the fortunes of my own choices, but it seems the much-loved children's author Mr Richard King-Smith OBE (author of The Sheep-pig (filmed as Babe) and the Sophie books, among many others) died on 4 January 2011.
He had been resident on my list for well for however long I've been playing. More than one year, anyway, and he was in the list I emailed over to GB on 2 January 2011, two days before his death. So I would very much like to celebrate his life by finding myself 15 points up in 2011.
But he died before the official launch of this year's Celebration. Do I need to field a substitute?

Up to you how you want to do the Scoreboard GB however, having the name in the box with the
is going to fill the screen up quickly, then people will have to scroll along the page to view the scores.
I think it was the year before last, I had to shorten people's user-names to keep the page fitted (more or less) on the screen as there were so many s (deaths) that year.

It would save having to click the rose link if you added a footnote with the name of the deceased - we could then just hover the mouse over it

Like that? Although I can't work out why the footnote is over on the right instead of below the table

I've seen that effect before (I think Tufty had that problem on his PS or something). Not sure if there's an easy fix, but it looks OK to me.

I like that idea with the Footnote
Not now, as I'm not awake enough, but later, I'll go over the old Scoreboards and add Footnotes to the roses.
I'm seeing the Footnote at the bottom of the Table.
