I'm not going to speak in support of present government. *However* - now a coalition has been formed, we are beyond the stage of which party got what share. The coalition government shares collective responsibility. It is implicit that Clegg has the support of the parliamentary majority. (Apart from Charles Kennedy, obviously)

Having heard the changes Clegg is announcing I, unfortunately, agree with Charles Faulkner that the changes are going to make little difference to the man on the street overall.

Well 3Dots, I heard different today from the man on the Clapham omnibus.
But we'll see..I'm a stupid Romantic at heart..and although over and over my hopes have been dashed by politicians..I still keep my cynicism in check..yes I know I'm mad, but you knew that.
I still haven't detail yet..but I'll watch C4 News and Newsnight tonight to see what I think.
(I still say it's a cool announcement though to bring in a reference to the 1832 Reform act..god the time we spent on that at school for history 'O' level).
