What's for breakfast?

Lightweight.
Perhaps the best way to accidentally quit smoking is to be hospitalised for a long period, unable to get out of bed. That's the only thing that's going to make me quit, other than knocking a girl up, and that's hardly likely to happen.

Strong black coffee (with a shot of brandy or whisky). Marlboro, and a Grapefruit and vodka smoothy.... but I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment otherwise It'd also include half a pack of bacon, half a pack of saussages, fried baby button mushrooms, toast, fried bread and either fried or/and scrambled eggs, plus haggis or black pudding...

Breakfast sets you up for the day.
Therefore, *seven* breakfasts are for the week surely?

Does that quote indicate that it is unusual for you to break fast on the fine exports of Ramsay?

Café con leche y churros / coffee with milk and churros (a mix with the same quantity of water and/or milk and flour, a bit of salt and deep fried in oil)
Instead of café, thick hot chocolate.

Usually at bars.
Also toasted bread with different tops: rubbed garlic, tomato and olive oil, only olive oil and salt, butter and jam, soft cheese, paté, serrano ham, chorizo... orange juice and café con leche.

(The Aberdeen equivalent is 'butteries' or 'rowies', btw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buttery_%28bread%29 Doubtless swl will encounter them on hos election/gastronomic tour of the North East.)

>>Breakfast like a king...<<
Used to be but not now - now it's (regularly) a healthy sized mix, in my favourite wood bowl, of muesli, leavened with seeds & raisins with a side dish of other dried fruit (prunes, figs, papaya...) from The Bin Inn.
Lunch is light, sometimes none (otherwise I get too sleepy for the current project). Except on those shopping trips, when Miz Stress rewards my patience (yes!) with a special.
Supper/dinner - more than I need, usually - after a GanT - but it is difficult not to.

The best breakfasts are those with 'All Day' inserted at the start. That way you don't have to get up early for them.

I heard someone reminiscing about when the phrase "Ulster fry" started gaining currency.
"Ma, what's an Ulster Fry?"
"It's yer breakfast, son."
He added that while it was their breakfast, it was usually their lunch, their dinner and their supper, too.
