Speaking of AC/DC (actually I'm not but...), I saw 'Beavis and Butthead do America' again the other night.
Brilliant film. Who did the song "rollercoaster" on its' soundtrack again? I can't remember, and now it's really bugging me. It sounded vaguely like the Chillis, but I'm sure it wasn't them...
It's in my CD collection, so...

Unfortunately i'm at work at the moment so no music allowed but when i get home i will probably give NIN a good thrashing. Either that or Rocket Science (think John Spencer Blues Explosion with a Hammond organ thrown in )

I'm listening to David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. That was the first record I ever bought. I was nine and saved my pocket money for months to get it. Actually, my mum contributed quite a large proportion of what it cost, probably sick of me whining on about how long it was taking to save up.

Thanx for the compliment...
Do you know "Richard Cory"? I love this song. It's so cool!!!
Well, I think I love every single song of Simon&Garfunkel. I just distinguish between good songs, very good songs and fantastic songs.
But I have to admit, that I don't know the Boxer. I've thought that we'd have all but I must have been wrong. What is it about?
And do you have albums or a collection?

Yep, it was the Chillis that did 'Love Rollercoaster' in the film, but this was a cover of an earlier version. I can't remember who did that one, though. (helpful, huh?)
Today I am mostly listening to Love, Sonic Temple and Electric by the Cult, because I rather like them and yah boo sucks to anyone who doesn't.

The Boxer has a chorus which goes something like this:
"Lie-La-lie
Li-la-lie-lie-lie
etc."
I'm sure you'd know it if you'd heard it.
The only albums I have by S&G are Bridge Over Troubled Water, the Greatest Hits and the Paul Simon songbook CD which includes some great songs both by the group and by Paul Simon on his own.
One particular favourite of mine by PaulSimon on his own is You Can Call Me Al, as I think it has the greatest riff I've ever heard (excluding Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple)

You're right. I asked my mother if she knew The Boxer, so she sang the refrain to me.
I do know it!
I've got a 2CD-set, the Look Behing Collection (32 songs) and another one, collected by a German (15 songs).
What other 60s or 70s music do you like?

I love Bowie (especially Life On Mars), I like most Beatles stuff, some Rolling Stones (stuff Like Get Off My Cloud), Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash (especially their stuff together-that's weird and wonderful). i also think that Dr Hook are grossly underrated (especially their lead singer, Dennis Locorriere who has a wonderful voice.
Bringing it up to date, have you heard the song "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" by the Jayhawks- it's beautiful. My other current favourite song is "One More F*****g Time" which is on the B-side of Motorhead's new cover version of the Sex Pistols' God Save the Queen.

I've got one big problem about songs like these:
My father was the one who made me mad about it: He gave me a cassette with his favourite songs from the 60s and 70s when I was about ten or eleven years old. It's still one of my favourite cassettes and I know most of the songs by heart but no single title or name of a group!
(Well, one: "California Dreaming" by the Mammas and the Pappas but that doesn't count, cause it's too popular). But of course Beatles, Stones, Bob Dylan, Santana (old and new stuff), Donavan and The Doors (!)... Love street, Alabama song etc... What do you think about them?
Topic Stones:
Another big fault of my father:
Took me to a Stones Concert (Vodoo lounge) when I was twelve years old !!! That was the end of my carrer as a Teenieboygroupfan...
