Hello gentle readers. I have taken it upon myself to rescue a worthy Entry from the Flea Market A4045583

In order to make this the most comprehensive and wonderfully unique Edited Entry ever smiley - laugh, I am asking you all the following;

What do you consider the worst fashions of humanity? And who in your eyes are 'fashion victims'?

Your kind words and inscrutable insights into the matter would be most appreciated. You'll all get smiley - cake and smiley - tea if I get the grant smiley - 2centssmiley - winkeye

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

By far and away the worse fasion has to be the current Skurge of the UK; the Chav.... smiley - yuk before which the shell suit was in the no one spot for a few years late 80's and early 90's (if I've got the time frame right I doubt it smiley - doh ) smiley - erm A currently close second up to the 'Full blown' Chav is those people who can afford the actual* designer gear as opposed to waring the cheap fake stuff, as they are guilty of buying the stuff and thinking they look like anything other than very badly dressed smiley - yuk

I think I subheadered chavs in the update (down the bottom somewhere) but not sure how deep to go into this atrocity of the human condition. Is there an Entry in PR about the Chav phenomenon now? I must link if it's EG bound.

Does anyone else think small chihauahs (?spelling) should go in? what the hey, why don't I just chuck in Paris Hilton altogether.

Actualy that was an issue I thought of. Should I name drop? I mean the Spice Girls, Elton John, Gary Glitter...am I allowed to name names?

ADvice welcome.

And don't worry, the shell suit will have pride of place smiley - winkeye

(and the safari suit too, if I have my way)

Codpieces.
Despite what people think codpieces were not worn as a means of showing of your package (although large and flamboyant codpieces were a measure of a man's wealth).

They were, in fact, a funtional item used to a) protect the groin from cold, kicks and other nasties and b) to hold up stockings (stockings were originally worn by men. The idea that medieval men wore tights or leggings with a codpiece over the top is a false hood).

As for fashion victims: There is a trend in Swindon at the moment (I don't know if it exists anywere else) for wearing baggy tracksuit bottoms with one (and only one) leg tucked into a sock. Real hardcore idiots wear several socks on the same foot, carefully layered to show all the different brand names.

That is absolutely awful smiley - yikes

In Coventry, it seems the fashion for young men to wear jeans low slung so that you can see their discoloured undies. Yuk !!!!!!!!

I think the whole tracksuit and sock thing is gang related is it not? It's how borough groups identity their 'packs'. or is it posse? never know now, I'm not hip to the street talk anymore (well never was really...)

Could be, but in Swindon it's just idiocy related.
