I should be finishing up my dissertation, as the rough draft is due on Sodit, but I cannot be bothered. This is far more fun.

I should be surpressing the memory of today with alcohol.
In fact in the ideal world I should consume enough industrial strength alcohol to make me forget the entire week

Oh nothing much. Just the week from hell, doing mine and my bosses job (since he has been off this week), the chief exec's PA's job (since she's been off this week), 250miles in running around between branches because at one point three of them were down for 48 hours (one of them has been down for two weeks), a puncture, the new car falling off the jack while trying to change the tire and scratching the paintwork and the half hour wait for the RAC to dawdle out to undo the damage.
Oh and not forgetting me making a complete of myself by making the wrong decision in either asking my crush out or the girl at the city branch who's been getting her mum (one of the branch managers) to ask me probing questions. That'll teach me to take a risk on office romance.

Sounds like a grim week for you Is there no other staff to help out? The weekend is nearly here and you'll be able to put it behind you soon enough.
Don't talk to me about office romances I went out with this bloke at work about a year and a half ago, didn't last long but felt like it could have gone somewhere. Now I seem to find myself listening in on whether he's seeing someone or not
Do you work with her all the time?

That came out wrong. It's not like I'm waiting around for him, I've been out with a bloke since him, but we just always get along well and have a good laugh. Which I've never really had with any other boyfriend So I'd just like to transplant that "having a good laugh" part of him onto, say...Brad Pitt please

Sort of. She's in the city centre branch, I'm at the area office (6 miles away). Usally any communication is over the phone. The past few weeks were just unusual as I was there daily trying to get the network problems sorted.
Due to my job being at a non-profit organisation, our IT staff budget just about stretches to two paid members of staff (myself and my boss). We're supposed to be getting at least one IT volunteer, but that's a few months off at least and then they'd have to be trained in the stuff we've got. I'm still learning the ins and outs of our bespoke software 9 months on. The Chief Exec's PA is off sick so it was too short notice to get a temp in, and by the time she'd be clued up with the stuff the PA would be back.

Tsk what is it with women wanting Brad Pitt, Alan Rickman, etc.
I mean what have they got that I havent? Looks? Money? Charisma? Oh wait, I've got none of those

What happened with the girl then? You like her and if she's getting her mum to ask you questions, then she must like you too?
Sorry, I'm being nosy

Well, if I'm going to get in with a self obsessed movie star with a big ego and a better facial cleansing routine than me, I want to at least have something nice to look at
I'm not going to pick Jarvis Cocker

She had to take a call from her boyfriend. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother trying since not bothering achieves the same result with less me getting hurt.

Its a cliche but its true... its only when you stop looking, stop trying and are truly happy to be yourself that the right person comes along.
You are special person Croz, she is out there, trust me.
What should I be doing? Sleeping... I am knackered.

I'm sorry. She doesn't deserve you
Don't stop trying, if you give up then you'll never get anywhere. When you do find someone you'll appreciate it all the more for knowing how rare it is. (This is a mantra that I recite to myself daily)

*has also been resiting the above mantra for about the last decade or so* What I should or shouldn't be doing depending on where the sanity or insantiy lies, is looking to see if the website I just found dilivers 'Chain mail thongs' outside the US I just can't believe such things exist.... but I can't decide if I relaly* want to own one

Chain mail thongs? Are they the kind where you pass them on to people and if they don't pass the thongs, they become cursed?
