SoRB does indeed claim to be Smokehammer:

so if SoRB is Smokehammer, that would imply that Smokehammer is SoRB. The evidence is piling up.

Surely that is his business, it is beginning to sound like a vendeta now. Why don't you go off and enjoy the start of Christmas, I am ill at moment but would be off out if wasn't.

Yeah, because noone else on the planet could possibly have the imagination to call themself smokehammer.
Especially on a website where the posters tend to have an interest in fantasy/sci-fi.
A pile really has to include more than one thing doesn't it?
This 'pile' so far consists of...
This person calls themself smokehammer.
SorB's XBox name is Smokehammer.
and....
Oh, nothing.

And besides, what is the purpose of this thread?
Who cares if SoRB turns out to be FRED BLOGS.
I mean I have been the subject of SoRB's ascerbic disection of my posts, but WTF, is he going to be dragged before some h2g2 High Court of debating style?

Yes, but I bet only one of them looks like this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=f2-RPSkbDUY&feature=channel
Anyway, had SoRB wanted to maintain his anonimity, you may be sure he would have done.
Merry Christmas to everyone on this thread... and to SoRB if he's watching.

I had a SoRBet for my Christmas dinner. Very tart, with a zinginess that brought tears to the eyes. Very apt.

It's amazing that your razor-sharp powers of deduction have not yet made you work out that gods are made up...though as you still haven't come up with a conclusion on SoRB/Smokehammer can I be that suprised?
Tell you what: just have 'faith' that SoRB is Smokehammer and even if SoRB isn't Smokehammer it will not matter as your faith will give you the answer.

If SoRB actually got banned it would say "This account is closed, details here:" on his PS. It doesn't, so I assume it's safe to say he just left of his own accord.

No the Eds have publicly said that the transgressions procedure no longer applies.
If you get banned, then that is it. Nothing gets said on site.
