If you were in a room

Of course, if the room was empty, save the button, you would not be in there to press it.

Ahhhh pendantry; such an underated artform
Right well I am still in the room and I still haven't decided whether to push the button or not!
I am quite tempted though!

I suppose you have to ask yourself what you know about the person who wrote the note. If it was put there by the local electricity board I probably wouldn't press the button, but might because I'd trust them not to hurt me...if it was left by my mischievous little brother.....

ahhhh how is the little tyke?
Certainly if it was from my brother I wouldn't as he is a dj and his soundsystem flattens small countries. The bass would probably cause the foom to collapse.

Okay, what are you doing in the room in the first place, and what's going to happen if you don't press it?

Why a RED button
Red is sonomus (sorry about the spelling) with danger
thus the person who posed this must feel that there is danger about...
if it was indeed red i wouldn't touch the bloody thing ever but thats just my emense parinoia kicking in...
the other question is why would someone construct a room with one red button in it unless it was some kind of experiment, then you would know this and push the button just for the hell of it....
if the button was green would you be more inclined to press it even if the sign said don't???????

i'm not sure
this is possibly where my colour perception theory breaks down
blue is usually associated with the cold of water, white with vast blank spaces and black with death so i guess it depends on what you associate the colour with will depend on wither you are likely to press the button or not
does this make sense???
i am personally a curious type so i would probbably press the button and accept the consequences whatever they may be....

yes I think I would too regardless of colour. But I would have to have a serious think about it.
Now if it flashed up with "Please do not press this button again!" would you do it?

I'm geusing "Don't Panic" is embossed in large friendly letters in some color or other, does anyone know what it is because it may effect the way I might perceive the aforementioned buttons purpose or indeed it's lack there of.

Does the room have a door too? Can you just walk away?
