Unless I want to choke to death on lettuce. Any thoughts on how you can have a varied diet when it's too hot for cooking much?

How do you do cold Tapas?

I think lots of light pastry tarts could be a way to go. Think, feta, fresh veg, pesto, spinach, ricotta, olive oil, anything you fancy. Assembled and ovened for long enough to cook the pastry, then eaten warm or cold...

I like cold pasta dishes... Tuna and sweetcorn, that sort of thing..

And of course sandwiches. Vary the breads, dressings, cheeses, meats...

Ingredients:

1 bottle of Sol
1 wedge of lime
1 deckchair
1 back garden
1 good book

You can figure out the rest yourself.

the hot ones you do the night before and eat cold the next day. the cold ones...well you just make them and eat them.
