Aww, come on. It was quite good after it had started to rain.

I dunno about the chairs but one thing I did notice at yesterdays match was that it seemed to be a case of celebrity death match between the managers.

Avram Grant looks like Baron Greenback from Dangermouse (I'm sure he has a furry worm stuffed away somewhere).

Alex ferguson doesn't look like anyone other than himself. But once it started raining, wasn't that a Dr. Evil top he put on there?

So it was Dr. Evil versus Baron Greenback -fight of the Evil Supervillains, yay!

Well I was just about to do a compare and contrast pictures of Avram Grant and the Baron thing but it looks like I'm way behind on the case.

to answer the original question- it was a Vogon poetry chair; Vogon poetry is far more entertaining than Chelsea's football!!!

So, in the not unreasonable assumption (I hope) that some football fans will view this, what happened in Russia then?
I've hardly seen owt since it. Lots of stuff before hand about Russia laying on the red carpet (oooh, double pun!) but cracking down on anything untoward. Lots of promo photos with smiling Russian police and authorities with fans and footballers. Especially the blonde female official, she seemed to get photo'd a lot for some reason.

And nothing. Were the English fans completely well behaved? Whatabout the famed Russian hooligans and their supposed looking up to the English fans as an example and wanting to kick off? Were there actually just real fans there? Did the Russian police do a damn good intimidation job? Or the mafia ? Or has there been some sort of decision not to report owt bad?
