If the universe is infinite, then im "a" center, 21+4^1+8+9=42

well my theory is, if my pattern does work, i would be able to put in the 4 last primes found, and it would generate a huge list of new primes in seconds.

i know for the primes numbers up to 221 so far i have been able to calculate them without thinking, its merely just moving numbers around in a repetitive pattern. The only thing that doesnt read off is which numbers r primes, and there are 4 possible ones every time, if i computer did it would be able to work it out very quickly.

dont worry that this sounds so dodgy, i dont have time to explain, but it has a pattern, and its easy to calculate primes, trust me. im amazed that ive done this....if i do it im buying my parents a house, hehe...then live with them

well i just prooved my theory works for up to the 260th prime number. im goin to go for something massive soon, but i have feeling the bigger the numbers, the more sums needed to find the equations. in the first 50, it was almost alawys with 3 sums, some where 4, then when i got to the 260th, it had gone up to about 10 or less.

ohh this is so much fun. i needa test some raelly big numbers.....but nothing to big.

I think you're just in a series where there is a pattern. I read about it years ago. It's very well known I just can't be badgered to look it up right now. There's several places where there are rather conspicuous patterns and coincidences.

But the 260th prime among an infinite number of primes is like a gnat on the arse of the great Atuin (The great space turtle on whose back four great elephants stand supporting on their backs the entire world (in disc form of course))



To an earlier question... Prime numbers are prime numbers in any base.

Prime numbers would make an excellent intersteller/intergalactic beacon. (Anyone who has read Sagan's Contact will recognise this). By simply sending out a series of the first primes any intelligent life should be able to interpret the signal and know it is not from a naturally occuring source like pulsars.

well i tested 69001+ and it came up with the primes from about 135000 and after......exactly as i predicted it to work, the number of sums increased like i expected, i dont know by what factor yet and it also takes a few more sets to generate a consistant list of primes, but this number is increase beacuse the work was not done starting with 2, so it had to build up a lot more for longer. the main point is it worked exactly how i knew it would. it is a pattern. im sticking by the idea: im not gonna accept im doing something thats not worthwhile, just incase im right.
