I suspect they are polishing their CVs and spending all available time on jobserv. Hard luck chaps, sorry as I am that we're losing hootoo, it is worse for you that are most likely out of a job as a result.

Well, if there was a woman subject to some overt sexism I was in a position to help, I would; but if it were a choice between one who I didn't know said something about 'almost all blokes' and one I knew had....

Sky sacks Andy Gray - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9373280.stm
Quite right - what a wazzock. And I hope his co-presenter gets the bullet too.
What irks me about this is women have been officiating in the lower leagues for years now and no-one raises an eyebrow any more. But these two supposed "experts" know sod-all about football outside the highest levels of the game. They should be sacked just for being so visibly ignorant about the game imo.

Would you be willing to throw the towel in after one faux pas SWL? I'm not excusing the stupidity of their 'off air' remarks, but do think about what things we have all been guilty of? Should it necessitate our joining the dole queue as well I'll see you there

Norti - when you're hired as an "expert" and you:
a) show that you're a fool, and
b) break the law,
then yes, I think you should walk. Especially as every female employee of Sky Sports could now sue.

Indeed, as the article points out, he was only disciplined for his remarks about the female match official. He was sacked because information about other more serious events constituting sexual harrassment came to light.

Having read the tabloids today, I do agree with SWL and Ballynac - both a fool and breaking the law - does indeed warrent an early bath, needs to be a cold one at that.
Not an isolated faux pas, but a catalogue of puerile behaviour (at best) gross abuse of position and power (at worst)
