What the heck is wrong with hootoo?

I just found a site which looked as if it had had a makeover (changing room style).
It was all a bit minimalist, and a little green........
Distinct lack of candles though........
Glad it's back,
I worried you'd all decided to redeorate behind my back!

I assume that the hamster does tire from time to time; most sites have a rodent that gives up occasionally. I'm a little surprised that the hamster's owner doesn't tell us about the poor thing's exhaustion on the front page (can I link to it?)

Yeah, you will learn soon that the DNA forums are slightly less liberal than most others on the internet. You cant use HTML but if you give a link that begins with http:// then the server will automatically create the link for you.
Oh yeah, and article numbers are turned into links too, as are user numbers and forum numbers. (with or without thread numbers)
eg U565352 (my personal space, which is a user number)
and A148907 (the Ask H2G2 article, which is an article number)
and F19585?thread="/h2g2/forum/19585" >F19585?thread=244117 (first page of "The most boring and banal thread on H2G2", which is a forum number with a thread number)
and F19585?thread=244117&skip=10540&show=20 (most recent, at the time of writing, page of "The most boring and banal thread on H2G2", which is a forum number with a thread number and an offset of where to start reading from)
Oh yeah, and most of the time you dont have to be concerned about the skin, you can copy the whole url and the server will automatically make the link point to the skin that the user is currently viewing the post in.
eg. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585
(original link is to the classic goo skin, but it will actually link to the skin you are currently viewing in.)

Ooops I forgot names links.
eg <./>dontpanic</.>
right, thoose are slightly harder to demontrate. You need to type < . / > followed by the name of the link, eg dontpanic in this case. then type < / . > (obviously removing the spaces, which I cant show you here because it turns my text into a link and you never see the tags) So the dont panic link looks like this (removing spaces) < . / >dontpanic< / . >
