I've heard that "love" in tennis comes from the French for egg (l'oeuf), an egg resembling a nought in shape. This may or may not be true.

not to be a killjoy, but this thread moves too fast and the linking to the previous thread kills the opportunity to correct errors, and there seems to be a quite a few of them.
i can't see how a challenge can work without killing the notion of linking.

I think it works ok, most of them link directly or indirectly and the odd misplaced posting makes it more of a challenge, to try to figure out the link
I dont have a problem with how it's going, though it isnt perfect.
The wild mallard tastes good with a nice sharp rhubarb jelly...

About post 111, you could try just posting your amendments. In a way that is linking back, actually, although it may be linked to a post further back than the previous one.
Or perhaps you could post a reply to the previous post and then add your correction as an afterthought. We're here to learn, after all.
