Just wondering how the heck you use the WAP service on an Orange mobile. My Mum asked me to investigate, as she isn't the most technically minded person in the world. I have had a flick through her phone, and I can't work it out for the life of me...

A little help people?

What's the phone? Wap browsers differ from phone to phone.

I don't have a smiley - sheep3510, but my dad has a smiley - sheep6310 so there can't be much difference. Hold one while I have a brief look at it...

The wap browser appears to be in the Services menu. If wap has been enabled (depends on what kind of contract/pay as you go you have, it should automatically connect once you've either selected "home" or entered an address in the "go to address" thingy. If it doesn't connect you'll need to contact your network provider for a number to use the wap service, or do some digging on the net for one.

Just seems like virtually everyone has them, hence the smiley - sheep.

Can't stand them myself. They're ugly, difficult to use, the menus are a nightmare and they try to fob you off with a few "nice touches" that seem more like an afterthought (snake springs to mind for some unknown reason).

So which have you had experience of, Because I've got a 3410 and I kind of disagree with what you have said.

Yup, Croz, you are right with the smiley - sheep analogy. I myself, have a wee Sendo...I don't use it that much though, to tell you the truth.

Anyway. I'll chuck that information her way...

Snowman, I've used (briefly) the following that either friends or relatives have.

3210
3310
6310i
6510
7110
8310

The only good thing I've got to say about them is they have got a very long battery life compared to other phones out there. The only one I sort of like is the 6310i, purely cos very few people I know have one.

Croz, I suppose lots of people use them because once you have learnt your way round one nokia its easy to use another.
