recycling- as green as we think?

Yay Pencil Queen and Winoch2
I also hate the 'sub' bags. When we go to the supermarket we have a number of bags for life, some of which are 5 or more years old! We also reuse the cardboard bottle carriers to destruction (one checkout operator exclamed recently that they hadn't seen that type of bottle carrier for ages!! - It fell to bits a week later). We always refuse the 'sub' bags and if they get used anyway I make a point of pulling them off before I pack the goods (usually meat) away and leaving them on the checkout.
They soon get the message and begin to recognise you in the shop. They might think you are a bit of a crank but remember - the customer is always right.
