What's the best tea in the world?
White Hart Posted Dec 31, 2002
My favourite is Earl Grey. I drink it black and like it fairly weak, I hate it when the tea gets stewed and all you can taste is the tannin
I also like Lapsang Souchong occasionally, and I drink a lot of peppermint tea while at work - it's supposed to be calming!
As for tea bags, I consider them to be a necessary evil.

Have you tried tea the asian way? All the ingredients in a pot (inc. milk) and stewed very, very slowly...strong, an acquired taste, helps blow the cobwebs away

Assam is a pretty good kick-start , I think. It even seems to wake me up in the mornings, which is no small feat! I've also recently tried Lady Grey for the first time, and that is *delicious* with milk and honey when you want something a bit gentler.

Right now I'm drinking a cup of (Formosa) Oolong, and it's exquisite. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I'm quite partial to Lapsang Souchong. Although my flatmate thinks it tastes like camel dung - or what he assumes camel dung would taste like.
