I wonder if there's a correlation between a woman's age and whether she likes "bad boys" or not. Is favoring this type of guy something that women eventually grow out of?

Most of the women I know tend to favor the rough rebellious type, but I was once told (by a woman) the reason for this. Many women have self-esteem problems, and try to raise their self-esteem by taking a "bad boy" and trying, with the power of their love, to reform the "bad boy" into ideal mate material.

It makes sense to me because I know many guys who would like to take a pure, clean woman and try to turn her into male's vision of the ideal woman (aka a woman you might see in a porn movie). The fact that women try to do the same thing, but in reverse, does not surprise me.

Isn't it scary how when they catch a serial killer, women go to the court room and sit and drool over him.

ok B, i like nice guys most of the time, in fact a lot of the time, but the whole raped thing is one step to far, and no, i would not drool over a mean serial killer, he would have intense psychological problems and no matter how good looking he was, or charming i would never drool over someone like that, if a man treats a woman right, is intelligent, honest..balh,,,blah...blah, then that is the best combination (except in the bedroom as B kindly pointed out, lol!)

I think it's a survival trait.Woman seek the dominate male because they are seeking the stronger genes for their offspring.A male who is able to fight off predators and other males whilst providing food would score often highly.So a certain tendancy to be a strong,mean,tough character may just ring an evolutionary bell in a female's subconcience.However this may all be changing in a world where cunning and skill with techy things may just get a fella the girl because he will be a better begetter of intelligence in a females offspring.Mind with the advent of sperm banks we can pick and choose so any man with a curling lip and greasy hair can think again.

Nice guys won't get girls untill they start to get so disillusionized about the whole female gender that they treat them like s**t. Then they'll probably be all over them.
