I played with it a few months ago (circa Mozilla 1.2), but it was seriously flaky. Not only did it fail to function at least two times out of three, but it would take Mozilla down with it. smiley - blue

I'm not rejecting the possibility that it's been fixed, just advising caution. smiley - geek

Mozilla is rock solid, were you using a beta/alpha version?

I gave up on IE, infact i all but quit M$, mozilla and it's variations are much nicer. netscape was good but is now full of aol spyware. when a page doesn't work right 9 times out of ten it is because the webmaster was to lazy to make sure it works outside of IE. When that is the case i don't revisit, if they are trying to sell, i buy elseware. Web designer need to take heed, not everyone is oblivious to the fact that M$ makes second rate products. As there market share slips this will become more ovious as they rely on unifomity. once people see the brighter side they will reaize the sh*t they have been putting up with. How many people have switched to mozilla or opera, then returned to IE? i wouldn't think many

HD, Mozilla wasn't to blame; it was the NewsMonster plugin that was flaky. smiley - erm

Fathead, I'm a Mozilla (Firebird) user; I still use IE, but only as a handy FTP client that lets you drag-'n-drop in Windoze. smiley - geek

That looks good but my fav is still 'flash click to get'. It turns all flash animations into buttons that you click IF you want to see the animation.

Combining that with my add blocking proxy makes the web look a hell of a lot better smiley - smiley

Speaking of blocking... Picked this up on Slashdot...

Microsoft is patching Internet Explorer to block popups. Took long enough. Maybe they'll add full CSS2 support next.

Okay, I'll keep dreaming.

Slashdot has banned my IP address here at work smiley - sadface

I consider the bare minimum for considering a browser to be tab support.

I used to do it. But it would be faster to hand write my posting and send them by carrier pigeon.

hmm... i don't suffer any appreciable speed loss when port forwarding, guess it all depends on the computer you are forwarding to ... in my case Dec Alphas that have a 155mb/s internet connection (put's my 1MB adsl line in perspective)

all the forwarding places I've had access to are overseas with sucky bandwidth. Compared to the 2GB link here at work...
