Kylie Minogue - renaissance auteur, or cynical marketing stuntress?

Pauses for a moment as he awaits moderation.
My association with refering to women as being 'Fragrant' is that of 'The Fragrant Mrs. Archer', a horrible phase. And i wondered if Kylie would prefer to be referred to as or an evil tory hag.
I didn't use those exact words in brackets though.

OK the moderated bit stated that last week the Daily Mail ran a headline banner stating that Kylie was 'Britain's Favourite Sex Thimble'. The same article referred to her as being 'fragrant'.
These were meant as compliments by they paper i assume. But what do these phrases mean?
A thimble is an object you put your finger in. The implication of the phrase 'Britains Favorate' was the whole country wanted to do this, and 'Sex Thimble' for sexual pleasure.
No wonder she was so 'fragrant'

oi! Xanatic! Nick Cave is really good, trust me. Have you ever heard The Weeping Song, Henry Lee or Red Right Hand? Even if you don't really like his voice, the lyrics are worth listening to.
(a *huge* nick cave fan) Magrat.

I haven't really listened to the lyrics, but Devil's Right Red Hand is really awful. That terrible voice again.

Perhaps you should start with something like "The Shop Song" or "Straight to You" they're songs which suit his voice in a more popularly acceptable way.
I don't suppose you're a Leonard Cohen fan?

Watch a Kylie video with the sound off and a box of kleenex handy.
To dry your eyes obviously.

Do people really fancy Kylie? Or are they just told that they do? I can't not think of her as Charlene. And she's really little you know, i've seen her at a couple of Nick Cave gigs, and she's like a child. And really scrawny at that. And she kind of looks like Peter O'Toole (don't get me wrong he's a good looking guy - but he's also an old bloke). And she's always struck me as being incredibly vacuous which is just the most massive turn off surely.

Yeah I do sort of. As I've said before, nice arse. Of course in truth that could be nice video editing. Her main problem is she is a bit on the short side, well very on the short side if we are being honest here.
I don't believe that she is as vacuous as you think. I've read and seen bits of her interviews where she does come over a realy rather sharp. And you have to admit it takes a certain amount of savvy to run a successful "pop and media fluff" career for as long as she has.

Watch out there are mods about! What you just wrote could be read two ways.
I don't believe that she is some arch manipulater like Madonna, I think she is a pretty honest individual who has learnt over time to put across an image that she is comfortable with and which will pay the bills. Is it a good image? Well its not bad, she does use words she does express ideas and aspirations. Yes she uses sex appeal, but not in the way that, for example, Jordan does.
As for shagging ten year olds? No. No way does Kylie look like a ten year old.

You haven't seen the way they dress the ten year olds on our estate.

She was pants on where the wild roses grow, it just proved ahe was a light vocalist with no range and no discernable talent unless it can be run through a computer to put her on the right note. Like over compensating for the fact that the song is very low, so singing flat. I'd kill for those legs tho, even if I did mean i'd be a short er bottom

Well posting 32 has been moderated sure enough - i fail to see what the 'other way' that it could have been taken in was though.
