Like Captain K, I've learnt it's fun to revive slumbering threads and bring them back to the top of the list. 
And I've learnt there's always something new to learn when I'm bored. Like er...um...
...Now if only I could learn how to retain the information I've learnt.

I learnt today that the largest ever single drop in population life expectancy in human history came with the fall of the Soviet Union. Life expectancy dropped by ten years and is still steadily declining.
