What are your favourite songs, ever
Kat Posted Sep 22, 2005
There are so many good songs:
I totally share the love people have for Everlong, All my life, Sweet child 0'mine, In my Life, etc.
But my favourites are:
Come as You Are - Nirvana
The only one I know - The Charletons
and as we're going beyond pop/rock here:
Rhapsody in Blue - George Gershwin - one of the best songwriters ever born.

Sorry just being pedantic, I've got Rhapsody on Blue in my collection, and it's a favourite of mine too. Just been listening to Farther Along by the Flying Burritto Brothers, a traditional revivalist song I think, but wonderfull, those boys were way ahead of their time, my fave for today.

Hmmmm, much as I hate to diss someone's else taste. You have some good records in there (although none would be in my favourite's list) but mostly I have to say in the words of John Lennon "it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree".

Baggy Trousers and One Step Beyond are both pretty cool, but if we're talking about ska then Too Much Too Young and Gangsters (both by The Specials) win every time.
