Felix the ferret had an obsession with cucumber, god alone knows why. He HAD to have cucumber every day, if you so much as opened the fridge he went ballistic! We transported him (with his little passport) from UK to southern France, no probs;funny when he got his medical 'cos the vet said "wow, he is but where on earth is his heart? We didn't do ferrets in vet school!" He (the ferret, not the vet) enjoyed wandering around on the ferry (on his lead in case he thought he was a lemming!) & it was great fun smuggling him into hotel rooms en route (tip: one of you checks in, the other saunters past with a large jumper & suspicious bulge)

He was always very clean, just put the paper down, show him where it is, no probs. He always slept in bed with us; my ex B/F got reactions of " What about the ball problem?", he just looked smug....

Yay!!!! It's Sunday 7:39pm and I'm home with my dog!!! He's so cute

Well, we met our new dog this weekend, his name is Bones and he is a cutie. As soon as I can figure out how to upload photos from my phone, I will link it!

Sammy and Bella are both in hiding from a visit by my 5 yo nephew and the havoc he causes!

My Ben-dog is sleeping on his big comfy blanket(it's almost eleven and he's an old man)

Yoda into hyper-sulk mode. She is bizarre though, as someone once said "HOW can this cat purr & snarl at the same time? She has to make her mind up, ye gods, bi-polar pussy, takes after maman!"

lol @ Terri. Did you finally get to sleep yesterday? Cuddling w/ kitty?

Bones has taken to attempting to corral my cats, but he seems to be fitting into the family just fine. The cats don't like him, but then, they don't like much of anyone, including each other.

Sammy - sleeping on top of book shelf (may have something to do with Bones)
Bella - sitting and hissing on top of fridge (definitely has something to do with Bones)
Bones - sitting at base of fridge, wondering why the pretty kitty wont play with him.

Ari is yelling to come out. I just gave her some bird-sized pancakes from the batch I just made- she loves them!

I want pancakes too!!!!

If I figure out how to fax them I'll let you know!

Well, pretty much all the animals are knocked out. Bella is sleeping on the bench beside me while I type. Bones is sleeping w/ oldest son. Sammy is sleeping on the foot of the bed.

Bones has really put the cats on their mettle. I'm sure things will calm down in a few days, but there is a lot of animal talk going on around my house lately, and they are cursing!

Ari is tounging my face. She seems to be doing this a lot lately.

(dang hamsters - svc unavail, over and over again)

Ari - hmmm, maybe she needs salt?

Bella and Sammy are lounging around the house, sight unseen. Bones has just been dropped at the vet to get fixed. He's not a very happy camper right now.

I don't think so- parrots aren't supposed to have much salt- it's bad for them. I think she just likes "exploring" with her tounge/beak.

I've only had one bird in my life, and while he was sweet, he wasn't very bright, certainly not up to the standard of Parrots.

Maybe the bird just like feeling you up!

I think she's just exploring-she has a very busy beak-but you never know...

My dog is sleeping at the foot of my bed, he was snoring but he's not now.

I've just been chasing my dog Muppet around the house - she's got so much energy, but I don't so by the end it was a slow-motion chase She's so cute, she was just walking around and around the couch, making me dizzy, looking back every now and then to make sure I was still following her. She's my baby. I just got up to see what she is doing now...she saw me and jumped up and grabbed her 'favourite' toy (today it's a piece of sheepskin 'worm' that I've tied in the middle to make it easier to throw). When she realised I wasn't going to chase her she's come into my room and she's lying on the floor next to my chair. One of my cats, Putty, is fast asleep on my beanbag and the other one, Wosta (goes to see) is sitting on the kitchen bench watching my mum cook dinner.

Sammy and Bella really are not liking our newest addition, Bones.

Neither of them have slept in hours, and it shows. They are both getting very, very grumpy.

Sammy is growling (yes, apparently cats can growl) at Bones (who keeps wagging his tail hopefully).

Bella is mewing pitifully from the top of the refridgerator (from where she's not left since yesterday afternoon as far as I can tell).
