I am still waiting for a decent shower of rain for my garden. It would be nice if the temperatures overnight start falling. No sign of autumn winds or misty days/nights.

...on the bright side of the news, while global temperatures are not yet back up to the global means of the Viking era (spproximately 7th to 14th centuries CE), but dairy farming is coming back in Greenland and grape culture is returning to the British Isles.
Maguey plants are beginning to thrive in the British climate, opening a prospect of tequila manufacturing in centuries to come.
The main driver of global warming, other contributing causes notwithstanding, is an 1800 cycle of tides...

That should be an 1800-*year* cycle of tides.

Since November 29th and December 29, there has been 6 days of frosty. There has also been about the same number of foggy days and nights.

Frosting weather would be even better, wouldn't it? You'd go out and let the tiny flakes of frosting melt on the tip of your tongue.

Weather is very much like weather, whether you agree or not. I wonder whether the weather will wear the weather person out?

I have read of people throwing toys out of the pram whenever they watch or read a weather model report online and discussing if they should join in the local pub run.

This time of year, I check the weather forecasts to see how far below freezing the temps will go overnight. At twenty degrees below the freezing point, I have to let my faucet drip to make sure the water in the pipes won't freeze.

It's a humid day and my barometer says that the weather is going to change. My cat Simba has woken up from a deep sleep on the settee and look and me and said meow and then walked off into the kitchen.

We got rain yesterday and today. I collected about 15 gallons of rainwater, to use for watering the garden over the next week or so.

Rain is desperately needed, so much I think I am going to have a rain dance. It worked once, so I think I am going to day. I have copied the instructions online, I dance (jig like fashion) around in a circle chanting 'let it rain' 'let it rain' in a rapid fashion.

Relax and just let the rain dance for itself. Coercion shouldn't be necessary. It's intrusive, if nothing else...
