"Chas, what sort of band does girlfriend drum in? Was talking about the lack of good drummers in our area with my colleague when I was driving home tonight. He's in a band, see bass"
They are at the moment looking for a Keyboard Payer/Bass Player And Second Guitarist
No gigs since she joined, as they are having trouble getting anyone that isnt tied down....so she's paying to go to auditions to help find someone....the couple who's band it is are writing their own material which i would class a middle of the road rockish type stuff

Yeah it is good on here you could talk all night if you wanted to.
Would it be a nightmare getting the others to move over here though, or are they pretty much game for anything?
It wouldn't take much to set up a reading thread. I guess we should ask and see how many are willing to come move then go from there, what do you think?

Chas,
Don't steal him, he's also one of my senior salespeople!!! He has a band and he used to play in Unbelievable Truth (if you google them you'll see them), they had Thom Yorke's brother Andy as a lead singer..

Adrian
You don't have ask anyone - I'll support you - just tell them that you've left a space on here for people for outside hours posting on reading and stuff, so that you can join in when you are working nights and anyone else can!!!
You'll probably find that there are people outside of the reading thread people who'll join in..
All I did when I first went looking for you the other night was to look at your last conversations, and followed the link - simple - jobs a gudun!!
It can just be reading room/study - the night shift or something, almost typed night-shirt then, which if you think about it is probably funnier!!

We're a fussy lot 'round 'ere. We'll have no txt spk or CAPITAL SHOUTING thankyou very much. But smut, innuendo & random irreverance are welcomed with open arms.
As are badgers, beers and bondage.

Chas, Cheers, me lovely - I'll remember to put it back in the fridge this time, made a right mess in the virtual pub - do you remember?
Actually, as I'm typing in correct and potentially grammatical English, do you think anyone would mind if I put a song on that juke-box in the corner?
I think I will go for "Get Ready", The Temptations - that do ya?
Drinkie?

Oh Chas,
It's not like I wasn't on the msg boards was it!! I was there most of the time anyway - whatever country I was in , saddo that I am.
There is only one way to play that song and that is so you have to shout to be heard over the top of it!!
Adrian, have saved you a beer - look (s'nonalcaholic obvs....)
Oops, in the grand tradition of this thread 11.45 and all is well!!

80sgirl Posted Jun 29, 2006
