Where on Earth?

Milla it is just a bit of fun but it will be interesting to see where everyone is from. If you don't wish to contribute that is your loss.

Here you can see where lots of researchers are from...
LW, I understand that you want to make conversation, but posting the starters like you do (Where are you, what are you wearing, what food do you like, where do you get milk from etc.) makes me feel slightly paranoid that you might be making personal profiles of us all... I realise that you probably aren't but it feels very impersonal, and that might be a reason people aren't responding in a chatty way.
On topic: I am from a smallish university town (internationally speaking) in Scandinavia (see map in link above), and enjoy that the town has been around for about 1000 years, which is reflected in the narrow and winding streets. I like the fact that it is faster to bike from one end of town to the other

hit the wrong button there...
... than driving your car from one end to the other. Except when I drive my car - then I am annoyed by the inconvenience of no-thru-traffic and one way streets.

I was actually trying to make conversation.
Sorry you didn't like the link to the h2g2 researchers map.
What do you think about your home town then?

Yes love that link it is fun.
My home town sucks only half of the shops are accessable to electric wheelchairs, however it is improving, slowly, but you really need a car in Southam as the buses are somewhat few and far between. However most of the people are friendy and many of the shop keepers are on first name terms with me as I am a friendly guy.

Oh. Strange that it won't work for you. I have more trouble not adding markers accidentally - each time I click to drag the map around, a marker dialogue pops up!
I go to Loughborough now and then. Have you been there?

Lord Wolfden - Howl with Pride Posted Oct 3, 2005
Yes it annoyed me to hell.
Loughborough yes once as I was going to go to Uni there but failed to get on the course.
