Hi, Cosmo! As I pointed out in your other volunteer application threads, it's usually best to a) spend some time learning your way around h2g2, and b) focus on one volunteer position at a time.

Thanks for all your comments, they have deffinately been helpful. I understand your concern with me not having my "feet wet", but I am no stranger to the way websites are run and this is a pretty easy place to find my way around in. I would still like to offer myself as a volunteer as either a scout or community artist, as I have plenty of time to handle both, but can see that I should probably accustom myself to writing entries before trying to tackle the job of sub-editor. Thanks again for the comments.

I can't speak for the community artists, but I can tell you that for the scouts we generally have more people applying than spots available -- and so those spots almost always go to people who have done as I suggested earlier -- spend time getting to know how h2g2 works, spend time actively helping out in Peer Review, etc.
