A Conversation for Talking Point: Television versus Radio

It's got to be TV!!!

Radio would be better if there was ever anything decent on it! The music (most) radio stations play is so bad!!! No offence meant to the bbc, but their radio's the worst! I've only ever found 2 radio shows/stations worth listening to: Radio 1's "the lock up" (on at 2am on a monday!!) and Wave 105 is quite good.(you can only get this in southern england)

TV, however does have a lot of rubbish, but it has more entertaining stuff on it. Can you imagine cartoons on the radio? that would just ruin the fun! Gameshows are useless in whatever media they are being shown on and soaps should be banned! what we want to see (and hear) is more comedy.

In my view: TV better now, radio would be better if they repeated the Goon show and H2g2...

Well, you seem to be treading near thin ice for yourself.
Comedy on the radio pretty much always seems to be far better than comedy on telly. Apart from anything, it HAS to be better on radio because then your brain pays more attention to what's happening. On tv, the combination of visuals as well as audio means our brain can take more time out before realising what's funny.
Radio forces our brain into thinking rather than just vegging out. That alone makes it sound much more interesting.
