h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well either you're my friend or you have a sadistic like of getting spammed by my (usually) pointless journals

But this one is to all my friends. You are all very talented individuals. Some of you are already members of groups and organisations, but I would like to get some more of my friends to join the UnderGuide in whatever capacity they want.

For once I'm not advertising my own project, this is a major h2g2 project called the UnderGuide. Its been going for a little while now, but it now needs new members to help it improve.

I'm a miner, and my job is to read stories, poems, personal accounts... and the various other differing types of writing in the UnderGuide and pick them.

I have to pick two entries every so often, and if another miner likes an entry I've picked then (allowing for the fact that it is accepted by commander in Chief Jodan, and the supreme overlord Jimster) prepared to be a front page entry.

There is another very important job called the Polishers. They have to look at the entries and "Polish" the entries, so that the entries can be at their best - as long as it is in agreement with the author.

This is a big project for h2g2, and the only community run group that gets front page exposure. I would like to see some more of my friends involved in this, and I know I could trust any of you to their best for the UnderGuide.

Hey Verc, you've actually reminded me that i've been planning to apply to be a miner for months. Since January in fact. When a conversation with Ben in the Penderel's Oak (or was it the Shakespeare's Head? The lunchtime pub at the winter meet anyway) persuaded me.

Well after your very nice message the other week about me rejoining the UG, Jodan, my pc went belly up so I have only just got back online!

I have a couple of entries to write and also a couple for the UG itself are spinning around my head too! I made use of my time offline
