I live in the unitary borough of Thurrock in Essex and I am also in tier 4 and would have had my sister over for Christmas day and Boxing day but that has been cancelled. Thurrock has the highest rates of Covid 19 especially among those over 60. I think the tier 4 lockdown restriction will last for at least a month or more. Hopefully the rates of Covid infections will fall.

The borough of Thurrock in Essex, has been put in Tier 4 along with the borough of Southend and most of the county of Essex. No one in tier 4 is allowed to form a Christmas bubble and those who are in tiers 1, 2 and 3 will only be able to meet up on Christmas day.

The borough of Thurrock, has now got the highest Covid-19 rates in the whole of the UK.

I don't think we're organized in tiers, though that might be more organized than what we do have.

I think what we have is phases. We were in phase three, but have been pulled back to phase two here in Boston. In phase three, movie theaters could be open, but in phase two they can't. But you can still go to a movie if go to, say, Watertown or Waltham, which are not a long drive form Boston.

I feel your pain, Rosa. I won't have guests on Christmas either.

Tonight I learned that one of my neighbors caught Covid-19, and passed it on to his parents, one of whom just died. Wouldn't you know the oldest ones seem to be the ones who catch it?

I need to be more careful. My temperature was perfectly normal two hours ago. Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment. I hope they won't think twice about seeing me when I tell them about this.

If you wear a mask and they wear their professional gear there should be no problem, pauh.

I have some stretching exercises to do as I am participating in an online pain management course. Simba is meowing at a ginger cat as he can see the cat through the window.

I hope Simba stays inside. Cats seem to be the animals most likely to catch Covid-19 form humans. Perhaps the reverse is also possible.
