Vasques Rocks, California

Where was I when this community discussion was happening? That's what I get for having a job.
The infamous Vasques Rocks (protruding from the ground like sinking ships) seem to appear in half of all science fiction film and television. Featured in numerous Star Trek episodes, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, The Flintstones, even Blazing Saddles and MacGyver.
While I am adding stuff, I should mention Big Bear and Monrovia (both also in Southern California) as very popular spots. Big Bear is used as Canada in a lot of low budget shows that want to look like they travel, A-Team comes to mind. Monrovia is the most US of US towns available. The main street Myrtle Ave is featured in Waynes World, Grosse Pointe Blank and many more I can't recall at the moment.

If only I could spell. It gives me a chance to add a link. http://parks.co.la.ca.us/vasquez_narea.html And say that I now see the other message adding Vasques Rocks to the discussion. Too bad it didn't make it into the article.
