I've been offline for a week - my pooter died It was due for an upgrade so I bit the bullet and did it.

It has taken me almost a week to catch up on the backlog

I am now communicating with a new Super Baby pooter - she flies!!

The budget is blown but I'm happy.

Yeah .. I'm fine .... life (or what passes for life) goes on

The weather? 37 is about normal for this time of year - yes it's hot, but we are used to it. The only ones sleeping on the beach are the English backpackers - and that's because they are too drunk to go home

Adelaide and Melbourne have had temps over 40 - now that's hot!

But this is a strange country - in this state we still have areas in drought while other areas have flooded 3 or 4 times. Still, we can't complain - how are you coping with the big freeze? Now that's a different world to me!

Oh well - at least neither of us live in Haiti - I really feel for those poor people.

Oh, and please don't worry about the time between replies - that's the great thing about the inter webby thing - it connects people across space and time

Well, strange and wonderful feisor person. What can I say? I'm very pleased that the comm's haitus didn't concern you. I must confess though. When you said you'd been thinking about me, I doubted it.

That might be a touch insulting and, if it is, I apologise

Some 'cyberspace relationships' are..well....I don't know. 'Affecting'..Not intimate, not reliable, not persistent. That is what makes them both so worrying and so potentially constructive or destructive..You never know what 'force' you are in contact with!

I am..as you may have guessed, or been told...most likely....an early middle aged chap...Not that good at things internetty..and not that worried about being internetty..yet understands its potential. BOTH WAYS!!!

My eldest...20 years old...Knows everything..of course he does..I did. Until I realsied I didn't.

This freeze, here in Blighty, what a hoot! Admittedly..it's the worst we've had in many a long year.....but...in truth....Rubbish!

Most of the time, in most years, the weather wobbles from minus 5 to plus 27..That's standard. Most years experience this..for a few days..but a few. More than ten is rare!!

WE get a major dose of 'something' every twenty years or so...and even then...it's not that outrageous...a fortnight at 30+ or as this winter...four weeks below 0

It makes me cross............Everyone Moos and hoots and complains..The 'powers' make excuses..legitimate ones..But NO! "Canada doesn't stop because of some cold weather!!" Derrr!! What kind of retard makes that comment!!?? It would be like your lot saying, in december, "It's too hot! THe government should do something about it!"


So....My Alien 'friend', how are things with you?

All my 'legal' problems have disappeared...they seem so long ago! Unfortunately a close allie of mine has 'fallen foul'...Best bloody care worker I've ever known...She's been 'stitched up'..She's awaiting HER CASE!

Feisor..I know you don't me..and I don't know you but...I've worked along side this woman since 2002...She started off as this quiet, unconfident, frightened type..you know the sort..the ones bullies target...WEll...She's made leaps and bounds over the years....and....I must admit.....I have been a part in this transformation...I have (taken her aside) on occasion and ...warmly and gently 'fostered' her. You know the game..!!! You take someone aside..let them know what's going 'wrong'...Much better than their Manager blowing them to bits!


She's been tucked up ...good and proper! No one is alloweed to contact her! B****X! I have and I will!! She's good...and I know it! I will go to court and I will stand by her!...Bless her...she's not very clever...But.....I'd have her look after one of my family! And be happy and proud to do so!!
