Does anyone recall the details of Gus being inadvertently 'kidnapped' when his 'owner's' car was stolen?

A friend of mine was one of the camera men on Westward a the time but I haven't seen him for a while.

I don't remember the kidnap, but I do remember Ian Stirling saying something like, "Auntie Judi thinks you're a prat" to Gus during one birthday time in the 80s - and then half an hour or so later having to apologise on air for the offensive language!

I also know that my brother when doing a best man speech once read out the cards a la Gus Honeybun: "Congratulations to the happy couple from Uncle Trevor. And he want three bunnyhops and a magic button."

I seem to recall Ian Stirling hitting the tabloid headlines once for neglecting to turn his microphone off after introducing a programme, then using a naughty four-letter word...
