Hey, Manda! What are the chances of an ACE being the official greeter for two newbies from the same family, albeit in different parts of the USA? Thought you might be interested to learn that you had been the first h2g2 contact for both my daughter *grglblstr* and myself. Which begs the question, any stats on how many researchers are related? Just curious.

what kind of sites are you trying to access first?!...

some external sites are definitely a no-no to the digibox because of T.WEST firewalls...

if you're talking about spaces/pages/sites on h2g2 then we can help you...

Hi , the first thing you have to do is acctivate you own page

you do this by clicking on the "EDIT PAGE " button,and writing a little some thing there, that will acctivat your own page and then I can come and welcome you there and show you around, and if you are from LD I can show you even more, me and loup will show you around

but digibox users can still access the BBC websites and of course all the other dna community websites such as "collective", "360", "parent's music room" and the newly launched "talk buffy"...

the subject being:"a dream come true: a dna buffy site..." not an original title but peeps know what it is about straight away... hehe...

thanx for that info how do i get
a nickname and also i keep getting a message saying somthing like my box has run out
of memory or something like that
lmao and i have to unplug it is there a way to avoid this cause its so annoying how do you get those cool faces on your messages can you only do that on
a pc ?

... as manda said you need to activate your personal space first...
[click on "edit introduction" or "edit page"/"edit space"]

then we will be able to send as much info as possible...
also that will allow you to use the "digibox friendly" link which will help reduce the problem of the digibox accessing conversations [and avoid having to unplug it too many times]...
the info is @ A849134
click on that number and that will take you there...
and of course visit U201567
which is the friends of LD's space...

but first you need to activate your space...

as for the nickname no problem... click on "preferences" and delete researcher 207900... then type the name you want...
then click on "update etc..."
and you should have a brand new nickname ready...

as you are both LDers i would suggest you call at U201567 and say hi so that we can add your names on the list...

you might also need to go to A849134 and copy the digibox friendly link at the bottom of your pages [just put your own numbers after the U instead of 123456] that will make your life easier when accessing long conversations if you are using a digibox...

and yep you're doing fine with the smileys by the way...

you can check if your smileys are working by using the preview facility at the bottom of the message you want to send...
