Darling daughter had applied to 4 dance colleges in London. This had involved making several (very expensive) trips over to the big smoke to take part in auditions for each one.
Trinity Laban - on the reserve list, and later said No, not this year.
London Contemporary - on the reserve list.
Stella Mann - offered a place, but it wouldnt be eligible for student financing, so we'd have to find £9k a year PLUS living costs.
Doreen Bird - offered a place on the 1-year pre-vocational course. Again, not eligible for student finance, but "only" £6k, and only for a year, after which she'd hopefully have a degree place.
We'd accepted that final offer, and were making plans for where to live, when today........
London Contemporary have offered her a place! On the degree course! Which is eligible for student loan finance!

I think we paid a £60 acceptance fee which is proabably non-refundable. But it's not like she signed a legal and binding contract.
