Saturday night, I went to see Interstellar with two friends.
We had picked the 8:35 showing, but only because we hadn't checked the running time of the movie.
But we were lucky and managed to get home before midnight, so no pumpkin this time.
What can I say without spoiling it ?
The images are beautiful.
The story is gripping.
The characters are touching.
It's got Killer Joe, Catwoman, Seneca Crane and Jason Bourne in it...
As the end credits rolled, we all sat still.
The whole room quiet, hushed.
A bit confused.
A bit in awe.
A bit lost.
Feeling tiny and insignificant.
Wow.

what are your views on the sound ? apparently "some" are complaining about NOT hearing parts and the director ? said it was intentional ?

Anne Hathaway has really come a long way as an actress. The three-hour running time seems a bit much, but the ending is enough of a payoff to make it worthwhile. It's sure to pick up some Oscar nominations.

Prof, the sound didn't bother me, it felt more like we were right in the rocket with them.
Gingersnapper, unfortunately it's really hard to see a movie in original version around here, so it was the dubbed version.
Paulh, it really didn't feel like 3 hours to me, but, hey, time is relative.

I hope to see it either on the weekend when I have recovered from my bad cold and hopefully it will be still showing at the cinema.
