FINAL COUNTDOWN!
Waiting Room Posted Jun 19, 2002
We've been trying to think of the best way to fit Eden in with the rest of the plans for Saturday - It's been suggested that we meet at Eden at around 2ish so we miss any rush period. The original plan was to have a BBQ after and a party. However we think that it may be a little late to shop and stoke up the BBQ by the time we leave Eden.
Perhaps we can still do the party but with take out for dinner because of the time constraints? We could still have a bbq on Friday evening if people want to, and if anyone plans to bring a bbq?! Please let us know your thoughts ASAP.
If anyone has any better suggestions - we're willing to listen (cos were out of ideas!) - (does anyone have a cool box we could store stuff in for the afternoon?)
Thinking about it a cool box would be a good way to get round it. If you have one & wouldn't mind storing some frozen dead things in there for the afternoon, would you bring it along (2 would be ideal one for non-meat meat products) please? Could still have a BBQ on Sat.....
Anyway please let us know what you think/would like to do.
As for 'where to meet?' - It seems that the best option will be to meet at Eden's main entrance / ticket office. We plan to go in at 2pm, so we need to all be there by then.

Surely there must be a big supermarket in the area, Cornwall isn't the Western Isles or nothing. Most of these big places are open quite late, so we might be able to slip along after Eden. Don't know though. a barbeque would be nice though, will see what we can fit in the car.

Never fear! Peregrin and I are arriving at the campsite on Friday along with cool bag and bbbq and charcoal and bbq lighters and metal proddy thingys. We will also have one large cool bag and several ice packs for the very purpose of storing dead things Oooh we'll also have folding table and chairs, a large picnic hamper, a wind shelter and an array of fine wines
*grins*
Oooh and the western isles do have a large supermarket theres a HUGE co-op in Stornoway and several small corner shops which are all very good in Urgha it's just theres nothing anywhere in the little villages... well except for tweed knitting

I can bring a coolbox for sure - dunno where the nearest supermarket is to Eden, there's got to be at least one in the St Austell area anyhow...
I'd vote for a BBQ - is anyone going who isn't camping? who'd miss out?

I have to go east though - being near Penzance right now!
I could just drive all the way along the south coast of Cornwall, but I think I'll go up the main road and follow the signs
