"The Tau also have their own stuff Tau jetpacks Crisis Suits (Now come on there arent many armys that have suits of armour 5 times the size of the average man)"

The Eldar have a jetbike which is faster and about 1/2 the size, a viper, probably about the same size, which can carry the same amount of weaponry, unless your talking broadsides.

As for the railgun Vrs a grav tank, give it holofeilds and sprit stones, it should be fairly hard to kill, and Land Raiders find it hard against a railgun, so thats not really that good at saying the Eldar are weak.

sorry about the ranting.

Finished my new war machine. Its converted from the French AMX 30/105, 1:35 scale.

All round armour 14, 3 structure points and 2 imperial sheilds. Armed with Earthshaker cannon, 2 x Twin Heavy Bolters, Multi-Melta, smoke launchers.

i think it comes out near 300 points, not got the sheet written up fully yet, still needs to be painted.

I only see 2 reasons to use the VD rules, to make characterful vehicles for armies (especially Orks,) and for the modelling opportunities.
I did design a "flamer" tank for my Tzeentch army once though. It ended up kind of like a land speeder with heavy flamers that can be used in my Chaos army. Mainly 'cos i love Land Speeders!

Aye, i do them mainly for the modelnig and gaming diversity. But most of them never get used in a game.

Never seen anyone with Orks try to use them though. That'll be very characterful...

Was fun to play against.

Anyone know where I can find the VDR rules? I've looked everywhere but can't find them.

By the way, I collect Chaos. Thousand Sons, to be precise. Well, I will when the new codex and models come out. HURRY UP GW!

I KNOW!!! I LOVE THOUSAND SONS!!! (not in that way)
I want to write an Index Astartes list, but i know that the points value and rules will change when they release the new Codex.
As to when they release the Codex, all i can find is that it is "upcoming" and "to be released towards the end of the year."
Can't wait for the new Sons models to come out though.
Muwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!

There's already an Index Astartes entry in White Dwarf 267 (I think). Personally, I think its the best one so far. And, apparently, the new Chaos codex is coming out in October.

I've looked at the Index Astartes and started making plans, I think I've lost my list though. And I'll wait for the Thousand Sons models to come out. (they are apparently being released with the Codex)
