'The Dalek ship also has a roundel type effect going on.'
What are you saying? That the God Of The Daleks is actually just a typo, and we should be fearing the Mod Of The Daleks? Is it Paul Weller? He was pretty wizened the last time I saw him.

Not really GB- there were a couple of BW refs missing from the flashback sequence when Rose is thinking about all teh times she's heard 'Bad Wolf'. Maybe the key one is one of the ones that wasn't shown. So that's 'The Doctor Dances' and 'End of the World', and possibly 'Rose'.

Oh, that one. Well, I remember all the particulars you raise, but not Omega. Memory like a sieve me. (D'you suppose it would particularly annoy that barking Ozzie bint if I said I tend to remember most of Tegan's appearance's, for all the 'wrong' reasons? )

**thinking out loud**
Who or what was behind the flying dragons/scorpions in Fathers Day?
Could that have something to do with it all?

I've just written out a theory for what 'Bad Wolf' means, but I'm fairly certain I'm right now, so I've deleted it. But I reckon the clues are there. The problem is, it's not just one puzzle. And the clues are conflicting.
Very weird thing happening here. I woke up a few weeks ago and somehow I'd fallen into a private universe where everyone was a Doctor Who fan.
I'm still trapped there. Today, the bbc.co.uk team are discussing their plans for this week, including an insanely fabulous promotion that's on *right now* and an astounding one for Friday. One of our department heads has just send round an email reminding everyone to watch Doctor Who this Saturday.
And then *this* shows up on the BBC Doctor Who site:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/news/drwho/2005/06/13/19958.shtml
And have you seen *that* icon at the top of the BBC Search page?
This world frightens me. I want my old one back where being a Doctor Who fan was a guilty secret, where my friends and I had to use subtle codewords like 'Yartek' and 'Archimandrite's Hat' and 'Tegan Jovanka.

And I thought it just showed up when you did a search for Dr Who... It's actually there all the time!

Thanks Kerr

Believe me, I'm still the *only* Doctor Who fan in my whole family (except I can see Andrew being sucked in week by week...) what a crying shame it ends this week.
I think this is the first time we've enjoyed a show together
Is there really an email going round the BBC peeps telling them to watch Doctor Who?
I love that pic of Michael Grade being throttled by a hand coming out of the TARDIS.
I'd still like to know why we got no or smiley though, considering all the Wimbledon ones that came out a few years ago

Pah, Jimster you're a tease. Can you put it back up after Saturday? If you were wrong, It'd be interesting to see where you were going, and if you were right, it might be useful for the hard-of-thinking. Like me.
BS- Yes, it would. Which is good thing. Mind you, Peter Davison has a good way of shutting her up on the commentaries when she starts ranting. From memory it's 'Oh Janet, shut up. People want to hear about Doctor Who not your feminist theories. Why don't you go back to commenting on the fashions in the show?'.

Wonderful. I've always thought that PD might make a pleasant companion for a beer or two. That kind of confirms it.

He's definitely near the top of my list of 'actors I'd like to go for a beer with'. His commentary on The Tomorrow People is excellent, you can hear him blush. As would you if your first professional engagement on TV featured you in nothing but boots and blue pants.

It's the Bad Wolf site. It's been blocked here too, as of yesterday .
Oi, Jimster, find out what your colleagues have done to get it blocked.

Oh I know what it is, just wondering why websense (feels the need to expectorate) thinks it is tasteless. Probably no reason other than they can.

yup, they have a strangle hold on corporate IT purchasing departments (note, not the same as corporate IT departments ).
But I'd better stop there since it is a) off topic and b) the rest of opinions on them are probably best not post on a public BBC forum

It's possibly because of the embedded music file, but I dunno.
And yes, I'll post back here to either explain where I mistakenly thought this was all going - or bask in smugness.
Just so that you can go back to see what I was working with, I'm now tracking two sets of clues, one for Bad Wolf and one other one.
For Bad Wolf, I'm beginning the trail in End of the World and working forward.
For the other one, the clue is in the background of one scene. And here I can at least give a 'for instance': If you didn't know that the Daleks were returning in 'Bad Wolf', do you think the decor on one of the walls of the Big Brother House might have given you a clue (the one with those round bumps in different colours)? And if so, do you think that you might have spotted clues in the background of other scenes?

The plastic bubble type things look a bit like Tardis roundels, yes. OR, they look like Dalek bumps. Bugger, I've lent my tape to someone else, so I can't watch it closely tonight. That is *so* annoying.
Key: Complain about this post
