Megelon? A character from what is almost universally acknowledged as the worst story ever? No way... but wait! What colour in the Borad? That's right, he's blue! And he has blue andriods working for him! Maybe we've been so busy concentrating on Bad Wolf we've missed the real clue.

Jimster's post in the other thread got me thinking about something...
Anyone else notice the simliarity between the design of the interior of the Dalek vessel and the interior of the Tardis (specifically in the first shot of Rose onboard)...
And if they're designed by the same person - where does that lead us?

So with all these names being mentioned, i takeit we are assuming that RTD's quote about it not being a supervillain was disinformation?
(I *do* so hope RTD never gets a job as a government Press Officer!)

The curved design for the Dalek ship is based on established dalek style, right back to the first Dalek story. The curved arches in the Tardis are new though. I suppose it's possible that Timelord actions accidently created the Daleks- the reason they swore of interference with other races in the first plcae was a cock-up with a race where they accidently accelerated their development until they nearly destroyed themselves.

Whisky Posted Jun 14, 2005
It's not just the curves though - the colour scheme is virtually identical too.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Jun 14, 2005
Looking at the pictures on the website I fail to see any similarities, apart from the colour scheme, between the TARDIS and the Dalek ship.

Whisky has a point. And bearing in mind what Jimster has said in the other thread about the biggest clue being a design point, it's enough to make me wonder.
Dunno whether you'd class Omega as a supervillian or not, though. He WAS very powerful, but he was also very dead when we last saw him (not that ever stopped the prune in a wheelchair).
And I'll be honest, I'd rather it was the paraplegic prune than Mickey or Adam. That would just be too, too anally retentive in the same way that the continuity police wrecked any chance Enterprise had of being any fun.

Yeah, but Omega was very dead last time too, and the only explanation we got was the line 'No! He lives!" from his tame Timelord.

The colour schemes throughout the series reflect this - the Time War seems to be connected to fire, so the Tardis, the Dalek ship, the Gelth (in their true form) are shown in fiery bronze colours. And both the Tardis and the Daleks are machines grown around organic material.
I don't think we've been thinking about this bad Wolf reference the right way. And I swear I don't know what it is. But I don't think Bad Wolf is a person or a thing. And I agree that we've already been told what it means but didn't understand it then. I'm begining to think that the biggest clue isn't in the episode 'Bad Wolf' but in a flashback they chose not to show us.
To quote the Troughton Cybermen: 'Clever... clever...'

The Dalek ship also has a roundel type effect going on.
A flash back they didn't show us? Well, that's got to be either the bomb Jack sits on, or the 'It's the classic Bad Wolf scenario' line from End of the World. I figured that wasn't included because it wasn't very clear, but could 'Bad Wolf' be the name for the time war? Like 'The War of Jenkins' Ear'? In which case, is the phrase poppig up everywhere becasue the Time War isn't actually over, even though the Doctor thinks it is? Is he still fighting it without realising it? Is all his meddling making teh Time War worse?
