It's late but here's my thoughts on the episode. Thanks for the Dalek factoid Giford, I used it and put a little thank-you on the bottom for you. http://wp.me/pLq5j-2r
I thought that was a cracking episode all things considered. The trailer for the next one looked very interesting though, I like the thought of the fiance traveling with them, he looks like he'll have some great bits, especially the "you don't realise how dangerous you make people to themselves" line.

If he's lucky, he may even be promoted to metal dog status.

My guess about the 'remember what I told you when you were 7' line is because he returned to Amelia before going back to the two years on Amy at the end of the first ep. But for some reason, related to the cracks, she doesn't remember it.
So what he told her is something like 'Trust me. I will not abandon you. I will come back. Wait for me. '

Could be. Think there's going to be some quite interesting time plots to this series now. I think we'll see a lot more mixing time up than we have before.

IctoanAWEWawi Posted May 6, 2010
And I think the remembering stuff is going to be more important than just reassuring her he will be back.

Bright Blue Shorts Posted May 6, 2010
I assumed the remembering stuff was a reference to her not remembering/know anything about planets appearing in the sky / the daleks ...

Geggs Posted May 6, 2010
Well, anything that falls into a crack is forgotten by anyone that isn't a time traveller. So anything that fell into a crack before Amy stepped into Tardis she won't remember.

the weeping angels when they move must travel like a wave
the one at the back can move because none can see it, once it moves past the back marker it must stop and the back one moves, added to this the flashing lights and they roll along, a bit slower than when they were in blink when they were lightning fast
Doctor Who
Giford Posted May 6, 2010
Clever idea.
Are they vulnerable to bullets when you can't see them? In Blink, I thought that was the justification for them turning to stone, but they didn't seem too troubled by machine-guns this time round.

if i remeber blink correctly they were too powerfull a creature at the begining of the universe and the 'powers that be' changed them on a quatum level so the became solid when the were looked upon
bit like the ones that imprisoned the witch/hags from the shakey episode
might have been the drafters of the shadow proclimation???
fat lot of good they turned out to be in the end
just another reason to reuse the juddon costumes they paid soo much for

That's another point: I'm not convinced by her remembering people just because she's travelled in time. I think The Doctor was fobbing her off for some reason that well later become clear.

Effing bloody BBC schedulers ... first week 6:15pm ... last week 6:25pm ... this week 6pm ... so it started 5 mins ago which means I'm now going to have to wait until about 7pm before I can watch it on iPlayer ... grrrrr ..... isn't this how the original series went down the pan ... being shoved from Saturday night to Monday night ... to double-length episodes after Wogan ... to whenever ...

I kept thinking that Ezio from Assassins Creed 2 was going to turn up. Though Matt Smith was excellent again.
I am even learning to live with the new theme tune.

few continuity errors
how did she know his name??
why were the 'girls' shocked by her real form
where were the 'girls' cloaking devices??

Alfster Posted May 8, 2010
Is this the year where everyone looks for continuity errors in Dr who?
She had heard Amy menition Uncle Doctor, she knew what Gallifrey was, she knew the Dr had wiped out another group and watched them burn in ashes...enough clues there for her to realise it was 'the Dr'.
Possibly because they didn;t realise what they had become?
Christ, does it matter?

At least they resisted jumping on the Emo-Vamp-Twilight Bandwagon
Not as good as it could have been
Anyone else spot the SEP field and Wiliam Hartnell's picture on the Psycic Paper?
At least Amy treat's Rory like a proper boyfriend, unlike Rose did with Mickey
Next week, was that Ian Hislop?

Not my kind of story this week but found the script quite witty, particularly the opening. Good use of music during the episode.
Very much like the look of next week's episode ...
