smiley - cheers, Kerr. I've been offline for a while but was thinking about this two nights back and realised 4F was more likely. Never knew it was Williams rather than Thatcher. Van smiley - redwine

And it's the first in the new series, not another special, right? I've not heard anything concrete, but the interview I read in this week's Radio Times appears to indicate that the series is imminent.

strangely no.

But I did see the episode (8 I think) of Leverage (US proggy about modern day robin hood style con artists. Same sort of thing as Hustle for those who have seen that) where the lead guy is listing the false identities he has with him. He says "I've got a Peter Davidson, Sylvester McCoy and I have a Tom Baker" and his accomplice (Gina Bellman from Coupling) responds with "I have a Baker - Sarah Jane". Someone on the show is clearly a long time fan of DW!

Although I guess the link could be Gina herself.

Matt Smith is contracted for this series (13 episodes), a christmas special and a second series (presumably 13 episodes.) There are all sorts on the BBC DW website and they'll be posting the first minute of episode 1 at 18.30 today. Check out the spoiler thread if you're interested. smiley - smiley

They showed an exclusive clip on Jonathan Ross last night (Matt Smith interview) from episode six, apparently titles 'Vampires in Venice'. It looked good!

Hmm, interesting. Not sure how I feel about that. It looks like half a quite dramatic series and half kiddy stuff, mainly because he's a robot dog. Very undecided but probably won't be watching that if I'm honest.

Me neither.
In fact given the general Whovian response to the trailers I'm quite surprised I didn't get a load of smiley - tomatos thrown at me for posting it smiley - winkeye

One of my flatmates saw the clip and his word for Matt Smith's portrayal is "goofy". Having seen the trailer, this very much sums up my worries at this point.
